TIP 1: Keep It Dry

From humidity in the air to the natural oils that our skin produces, there are lots of ways for your jewellery to come into contact with moisture through the day.

•    It’s imperative you remove all SONM jewellery before cleaning your body.

•     Wait for you skin to dry, when wearing perfume or lotion, before putting anything on.

•    All SONM jewellery should be stored in its box & bag that’s provided or choose a dry, safe place with minimal moisture and humidity when not being worn. 

 

TIP 2: Keep It Clean

Soft brush or moist cloth are the best ways to keep your jewellery clean at home. If you use a moist cloth ensure that the jewellery dries completely.

In some cases you can use a mild soap, & warm water but it is important that you understand some gemstones, like opal, turquoise, and topaz, can be adversely affected when exposed to heat.

We recommend for stubborn pieces of dirt you use a professional service.

 

TIP 3: First To Take Off, Last To Put On

First to thing to take off and last thing to put on is a cardinal rule for fashion Jewellery. By doing this you will ensure there is no tangling of jewellery with clothes that might result in damage to both the jewellery & your clothes. Sleeping with jewellery on can speed up the process of tarnishing, ensure you take your jewellery off before you retire for the night.

TIP 4: Store Well

Store each piece separately in its own SONM box or the pouch you have received with your jewellery. It’s important you avoid moisture to get to your jewellery. Incase you end up damaging the original box/pouch then you can use a ziplock bag.
